  1. Office Hours for drop offs and collections: Monday to Saturday: 8:00 to 9:00 & 16:00 to 17:00
  2. Closed to the public on Sundays and Public Holidays.
  3. No animals will be admitted or released outside office hours without prior arrangement.
  4. No animal with (or suspected to have) a contagious disease or condition will be admitted regardless of prior appointment.
  5. All accounts are fully payable upon release.
  6. Payment can be made via EFT, cash or Card
  7. Day of admission and day of release are counted as full days.
  8. All veterinary treatment and medical costs will be additional.
  9. In case of animals in kennel for more than a month, a monthly advance payment is required.
  10. Vaccinations may and can be done at the Kennel.
  11. Vaccinations:
    1. Proof of vaccination (Vaccination Certificates) is required.
    2. Only vaccinations done within the last year are acceptable.
    3. Dogs require the following vaccinations:
      1. A multivalent vaccine
        1. Canine Distempervirus; Canine Adenovirus; Canine Parvovirus; Canine
        2. Dogs must be vaccinated at ages: 6weeks, 9weeks, 12 weeks and 12 months. Thereafter annually.
      2. Kennel Cough vaccine
        1. Nobivac KC Annual vaccine OR
        2. Zoeitis Bronchicine  Primary vaccine and booster 2-4 weeks later. Thereafter annually. (Minimum age 8 weeks).
        3. Please note that if your dog did not receive booster vaccine he/she will be vaccinated again at Berg&Dal Kennels.
      3. Rabies vaccine (required by Law)
    4. Cats require the following vaccinations:
      1. A multivalent vaccine
        1. Feline Herpesvirus; Feline Calicivirus; Feline Panleukopeniavirus; Chlamylophila felis
        2. Cats must be vaccinated at ages 9 or 12 weeks (depending on vaccine) and booster 3-4 weeks later. Thereafter annually.

      1. A Feline Leukemia Virus vaccine
        1. ALL CATS MUST BE TESTED AGAINST FeLV AT YOUR LOCAL VETERINARIAN AND VACCINATED AGAINST FeLV.
        2. Primary vaccine with booster 3-4 weeks later, thereafter annually.
      2. Snuffles vaccine
        1. Nobivac BB (Bordetella Bronchiceptica)  Annual vaccine
        2. Minimum age of 4 weeks.
      3. Rabies vaccine (required by Law)
  1. All pets without valid vaccination certificates will be vaccinated by Berg en Dal.
    Cost of these vaccinations will be charged to the owners account.
  2. ALL CAT OWNERS PLEASE NOTE:
    1. A letter from your local veterinarian will be required when you bring your cat to Berg en Dal Kennel. This letter needs to state that your cat tested negative for both Feline Leukemia Virus as well as Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). This is a simple blood test that can be done at the veterinary clinic and will take approximately 10 minutes. The vet will only need a few drops of blood to run the rapid blood test. After your cat’s FeLV/FIV status is known, he/she can be vaccinated against FeLV.
    2. Berg en Dal has always put any of the boarding animals health and comfort first. Therefore, we have decided to implement the new set of requirements specifically for the cattery to guarantee a healthy and safe environment for your cats.
    3. Please read the Feline Leukemia Virus information sheet for more information with regards to this disease and the why the requirements are necessary.
  1. No responsibility will be taken for your pet’s blankets and/or baskets.
  2. Cats: Owners must supply “wet” food (sachets/tins). We only supply dry pellets.
  3. All pets must have name tags.
  4. Please notify us if you need to extend your pet’s stay.
  5. Cats can be brushed at extra cost.
  6. All medication and special food given will be charged for.

Upon notification of acceptance, a non-refundable booking fee of R300 per pet is applicable
